Protests Continue in England
This video depicts the timeline of the ongoing protests by students in England who are against the proposed tuition hikes. In the video, the students protesting just outside the Houses of Parliament are extremely upset and angered by the thought of raised tuition hikes. The reporter explains that unlike in the US, the British are not used to have to pay tens of thousands of dollars to attend college. Inside the Houses of Parliament, the vote on the actual bill is taking place. After the tallying of the vote, it is announced that the bill passed and tuition will be increased, although it passed my a smaller margin than anticipated. Outside, the students once again voice their frusteration. One student even says that the Liberal Dems have lost a whole generation of voters.
