1. What is the greatest attribute India has in ensuring a bright future?
The greatest attribute India has in ensuring a bright future is most definitely its extremely young population. With a population of over 1 billion people and a median age of just 25 years old, India is one of the youngest nations in the world. The excess of young people in India should provide for plenty of workers for India’s ongoing industrialization. This situation is very similar to the United States about 100 years ago but, unlike the US, India will not have to use immigrants to fill job vacancies, they can use their own people. With the youngest population in the world, the future shines bright for India.
2. What is the greatest limitation India has in ensuring a bright future?
The greatest limitation India has in ensuring a bright future is its health/ sanitary issues and overall undesirability to live there. Let’s face it, India is a dump and many parts of the country are slums festering with disease and sickness. Because of this India will not be able to retain any of its great thinkers/inventors/scientists. These people will go elsewhere most likely the United States or Europe where the standard of living is higher. To these people, India is that small coal-mining town that the star high school football player leaves and never comes back to because it is such an awful place to live. In order to retain these people who could put India on the map as a legitimate world power, they must clean the dump up.
